I come to you with poems, prayers, songs, silence, a sense of place, a longing for the village, a love of this broken world. I have been sitting with people in disorientation and grief from a very young age and professionally for 20 years. I am a circle facilitator and train others in the art of seeding and tending to micro-communities of care and council. I have cultivated the skills of witness, imagination, care, and love through my life experience as a mother and partner, an artist and a poet, and through many forms of education. I received an MFA from Bard College’s interdisciplinary program and an MDiv from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University. I have received anti-racism and trauma-informed training at Smith School for Social Work, though I orient as a spiritual care worker and not a mental health provider. I am a yoga therapist and a trainer of yoga therapists. Yoga is to unite with the divine, not sun salutations. I partner with clinicians from all over the healing arts and expressive arts therapy world. My mentor, Francis Weller, has guided me in a lineage of ceremonial practice, soul work, and community.
My calling is to be a spiritual friend and companion to individuals and groups, assisting you in hearing, living, and expressing truth, courage, and authenticity in all aspects of your life. I am an interfaith minister, chaplain, and celebrant who co-creates healing encounters for plural groups. I am the assistant clerk of the 15th Street Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, my community context, and a doctoral candidate in Consciousness and Transformation, researching topics such as belonging, silence, and liminal theology.
